Nvidia announces the Tesla C1060 GPU Processor

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Hardware maker Nvidia has announced a new computer that has the power of a cluster of computers without the high cost.

Nvidia, working with several partners, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Western Scientific, and others, has developed the Tesla Personal Supercomputer, using the graphics processing unit based on Nvidia’s Cuda parallel computing architecture.

Burton Smith, a technical fellow at Microsoft stated while there have been claims of desktop supercomputers in the past, “this time it’s for real,”

Nvidia representiatives say computers using the Tesla 򣵔 GPU processor will have 250 times the processing power of a typical PC workstation, enabling researchers to run complicated simulations, experiments and number crunching processes without the need for a supercomputing cluster.

This so-called "personal supercomputer" will incorporate anywhere from between two to four Tesla C1060 processors, made up of 240 stream processing cores.

You might be wondering why you would want to know how to copy your Xbox 360 games, and there are plenty of reasons. Firstly, consider how expensive each game you buy is. Now imagine what would happen if it got scratched or became unusable after you had played your favorite game many times. You would either have to buy a new game or just do without. If you know how to copy Xbox 360 games then you have a form of insurance against anything happening to your favorite game.

Making an FTP Connection between your PC and Xbox

Before you start learning how to copy Xbox 360 games you will need to have a modded Xbox, whether hard or soft modded. You will also need a crossover cable that fits your computer Ethernet port, a new or custom hacked dashboard on your Xbox, an FTP program (preferably FlashFXP). Your Xbox will also need to be flashed; auto installers can do this step.

Once you have all these things turn on the Static IP on your Xbox, then set your IP to 192.168.0.100. Your Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0. Save these settings on your Xbox and connect the Xbox to your PC with the cable to the Ethernet port. On your computer go to Network Connections and then Properties, set the IP and Subnet Mask to the same as the settings on your Xbox.

Picking a laptop is a little like choosing a car – does it fit into your lifestyle and fulfill your needs?   Before your go shopping for any laptop deals, you need to think carefully about what you need the laptop to do.   If you are a college student, you definitely need fast Internet access and the ability to use word processing programs to write papers.  But if you are a businessperson who needs to show a lot of graphics at presentations, then you will have different requirements for your laptop.

Laptop reviews are a one-stop place where you can learn about what is great about particular laptops and what the downsides to them are, and you also need to do more than simply read up different laptop reviews because you should have a focus in your mind as to what you need from the laptop, as then you can narrow your choice to those makes and models which meet the exact standards that you expect from your laptop.

You’ll want to first, select the computers that will connect to each other and then install the network cards inside each of them. Then you’ll connect a cable to each colored laptop computers that will communicate with the server. These cables won′t connect to the server directly. Instead, they’ll connect to the router. The Ultimate Cure of Xbox Ring of Death

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Common sense advice would be to prevent rather than fix the Xbox ring of death. Given the fact that most of the technical problems that lead to the appearance of the red ring of death are triggered by overheating, you should try to keep the game console as well as possible. Hence, do not place the game console on the carpet and do not move it while the power is on. Then, proper air-ventilation of the area where the console is located could also help one avoid the necessity to fix the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death.

Solutions to fix the Xbox ring of death

A well spread but controversial way to fix the Xbox ring of death is popularly known as the “towel” method and it consists in the wrapping of the console in several towels. You are supposed to leave it like that for about twenty minutes and then it should work. This exceptional solution is becoming the talk of the day in many social networks around the net. Nevertheless, chances are that you will do even more damage to the Xbox since the towels would prevent ventilation and increase the heat inside even further.

Xbox 360 Red Light Fix – How To Repair Xbox 360 Three Red Light Error

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

If you consider yourself an Xbox 360 avid fan or gamer, then you probably know what the “deadly” Xbox 360 three flashing red light error means. If you don´t, do not worry as I will show a simple Xbox 360 red light fix later in this article.

There are four quadrants called the Ring of Light (RoL) – or life – surrounding the power button that lights green if the console is healthy.

Red, depending on which quadrants would display it, would mean that something is wrong with the Xbox 360 hardware and that you should stop playing.

In this case, the Xbox 360 three red light error usually corresponds to hardware failure. Before panicking, confirm what your console is experiencing. Check the power supply first with the Xbox switched on; the light should be green even if the xbox ring of light is flashing the three reds.

Red, orange, or no lights at all would signify that the problem is with the power supply, and each would refer to another problem. Basically, the xbox360 has these signals that can help you identify the current condition of your Xbox.
