New Concept for Document Imaging:
Scanners have been used to digitize documents for many years. They are bulky, slow. They cannot meet the demand of today’s mobile computing. DocExpress/DocExpressAF series change the conventional notions of document imaging. DocExpress series product is high-speed and portable. It captures documents, photographs or real objects smoothly in about one second. It employs a three -million pixel or five-million pixel sensor to guarantee to meet the demand of document imaging. Carrying DocExpress with a notebook PC extends your reach from data processing to document processing. Since there is no contact between documents and DocExpress, the paper jam problem is non-existent. Imaging is not disturbed by the paper quality or thickness. DocExpress AF model provides auto focusing and computer control focusing to make the capturing of objectsfrom different heights more easily.
Multi-function Design:
DocExpress is portable. It is easy to use, to setup and to carry. It is a good partner of your notebook PC and can be part of your mobile office to digitize a document at any time and place. DocExpress offers you more than a conventional camera or scanner.
1. Copier
DocExpress can be used as a copier. It captures a document up to A4 size in black and white. The captured document can be printed out via any printer at about the original size. Coping a book or bound documents is extremely efficient. The copied document can be held in PDF format.
2. Fax Machine
Any image captured can be faxed out provided an appropriate fax device driver is installed.
3. Presenter
During a seminar session, DocExpress can be used to project a paper document or a real object to the large screen. It can be supplemental to the prepared presentation file. DocExpress AF model with auto-focus and focus by computer’s control feature makes it irresistible for a presentation.
4. Snapshot
DocExpress can capture images of real objects at high resolution. The captured image can be in true color or in black and white. Shooting can be triggered manually or on time base.
5. Video Recording
DocExpress can digitize video signals at various resolutions. The highest resolution of DocExpress three-million pixel model is 2048×1536 in true color, more than that of HDTV. The digital video can be compressed and stored on disks. The frame rate can go up to 78 frames/second.
6. Screen Recording
DocExpress provides the screen recording function which allow to record the progress of one presentation or the execution of a software.
7. Storage
With the latest USB 2.0 interface in 480 Mb/s transmission speed, DocExpress can capture high quality still image such as an A4 document in about one second. Various still image compression methods such as JPEG or CCIR G4 are provided. DocExpress can also compress video signals. MPEG4 compression, among others, is provided. Image processing functions such as deskew, shade removal, cropping, vigneting removal and etc. are provided.
8. E-mail
The image captured by the DocExpress can be transmitted to the email address you desire.
Free Accompany Software:
A powerful menu driven software called VideoCenter Mini is provided. It encapsulates many video and still image processing functions such as zoom, rotation, enhancement, cropping, and etc. It takes advantage of the MMX coprocessor to make the related processing fast. Many graphic software packages can access DocExpress via the provided TWAIN driver.
This VideoCenter Mini software also provides the management facilities for document images. Images can be indexed, be packed into PDF or TIFF formats, or be printed.
